Many customers like to know about the company and people behind their services. Here is a little about us.

The objective of Saved by a Gun is to provide high quality firearm training to both beginners and the more seasoned. We believe that the right to defend yourself, you family, and your property are inalienable. We believe that education and exercising your rights are the best way to protect and keep them. We know from experience that the police are not obligated to protect you and are unlikely to be around when you need them. We hope you will enjoy visiting our web site and we hope you choose us as your provider of firearm training.

The instructor you select greatly influences the quality of your learning experience. Our instructors are our business. We have two main intructors:

Doug Stanton is an NRA Certified Senior Training Counselor. He is Certified to teach NRA Courses for Training Counselor, Instructor and Begining courses in Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Muzzle Loading Rifle, Personal Protection in the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home, Home Firearm Safety, and Range Safety Officer. Doug also holds the NRA Distinguished Expert Rating in Handgun Shooting.

Amber Stanton is an NRA Certified Instructor in Basic Pistol, Shotgun, Personal Protection in the Home and Home Firearm Safety. Amber also holds the NRA Distinguished Expert Rating in Handgun Shooting.

We also have guest instructors who periodically participate in teaching classes with us.

We started this service after defending our lives from an attack by a murderer (see Our Story). The attack was the culmination of 15 years of being stalked with no help from the authorities. When we sought out help from others on how to defend ourselves, we found the resources available were meager at best. We now endeavor to help others to learn those skills that saved the lives of the Stanton Family on a night that four others died. It is this mission that drives us to learn more and help others that they may prevail over the preditors that seek easy prey.
